Pai

In Pai today, took 4 hours to get here on a ordinary bus from Chaing Mai, crammed to the gills with produce and passengers, was on a small seat with a small child and her mother backpack on my lap, people sitting in the ailses on sacks of corn, was funny till my legs went dead, least I had a seat though.

Booked my self into a 2 day 1 night white water rafting trip starting tommorow should be good.

Hired out a 'motorbike'(Over powered Scooter) 125 cc 4 speed, had it up 120 km down hill but it got the mean speed wobbles and I almost came off into a rice paddy field. Dam gears are two pedals, front on is change up and back is change down, im used to the single up down lever so I kept chopping it down a gear by mistake ;). Great fun to cruise about and see the sights, only cost me 120 b ($4) to rent it out for 24 hrs and 60 b for insurance, even got a helmet ;) Tank of gas cost me 50b and that lasted me many kms. Visited a waterfall, a wat (temple) on a hill overlooking pai, a hot spring and a canyon. Got waved down about 5 times and given the wanna buy weed signal while waving mercandise at me lol, least I think it was weed may have been opium.

Pai Canyon

Pai is very relaxed and there is not so much high presure sales here. Fairly small town with a good tourist vibe.
